While we stick to the principles of fashion, it's not always going to be applied everywhere.

Occasions and celebrations – perhaps the most important reasons why we dress up – aren’t going to happen everyday.

The streets are the world’s ultimate runway. That’s where we see the reflection of trends in fashion weeks, taken in different notches with various taste. What’s more amazing is that we see these reflections, all in different forms, in the streets and it’s like a festival of fashion shows in different alleys.

Davao’s fashion scene is but a baby that is slowly growing up with the help of our homegrown trendsetters. Social networking has inspired locals to cultivate their own style, as seen by the ever popular #OOTD.

Those are some of the reasons why we created Jaywalking. It is a section in our blog (lieumagazine.com) where we post pictures of stylistas going around the city. We find them in the streets on their way to work or school – the real models jaywalking in the real life runway.

From mixing patterns or layering, keeping it cool and classy or taking it edgy and risky – the Davao people are definitely the fashionistas to watch out for.
