#YOLANDAPH: Send Help

On Novmeber 7, 2013—a Thursday, while Davao City was having a fine, sunny day, the Central Philippines was hit by the monster Typhoon Haiyan/ Yolanda. The said typhoon has been tagged by international weather monitoring groups as one of the biggest and strongest typhoon ever recorded in the history.

Lives, homes, and properties have vanished. The global community is mourning for the thousands of lives taken as well as for the amount of devastation Yolanda has left in her wake.

Many people and different organizations from all over the world have already sent their prayers and love to the Philippines as well medical and financial assistance. Despite the help the affected areas have received, they are still in great need of financial and medical support since many are still missing and the number of causalities continues to rise and there are already more than thousands reported deaths.

Our fellow Filipinos in Visayas are in dire need of IMMEDIATE FOOD to fight hunger. No guarantee if they have access to easy cooking or so. Hence, it would be much preferrable to send off easy open food and more more water.

We suggest you donate tetra packed food, bottles of water, hard boiled eggs, easy to open canned goods, packs sliced bread, old clothing especially jackets, pants, and underwear, and blankets.

We've come up with a list where you can drop off your donations here in Davao.
