On June 22, 2013—a Saturday— some of the Davao’s music enthusiasts flocked together at the Tekanplor, Sa’Less Bar to support Jad Montenegro, along with her band, in the release of their second EP entitled Detours.


As you enter the venue, you will be greeted by Dj Jon Game’s dirty drop bass dub set and a crowd comprised of Davao local music’s aficionados. The bands 8-A with their authentic alternative rock songs, Lucas with their frenetic mix of indie and euro-rock music and Azimuth with their lovely electro rock set entertained the people who came by to support the band.

Also, a spoken word performance by some of the Davao Writers Circle’s member was witnessed before Jad and her band played their set. Jad Montenegro played 12 songs both from the first and second EP.

The 150 bucks each one paid for the event got them the band’s 6-song Detours cd and a bottle of ice-cold beer. Truly, it was a fun Saturday night with awesome people, cool vibes and good music.
